Pricing Your Updates: Maintenance is $50/hour with no minimum charge. I document my time spent until at least one hour is reached, and then I invoice you for that time. When I maintain a site, I believe in a "value-added" approach. This means that I charge only for the minutes or hours that I take to accomplish your basic needs. The value-added part is that if I sense a more pleasing way to arrange page elements or determine a better flow or programming strategy among site elements, I do not charge you for such improvements (and I do document the improvements for you).

Light Text Updates: Light updates (such as sizing and optimizing photos* in Photoshop program and adding new content sent to me electronically) usually takes only minutes. Typically, a light text update involves these steps:
· Saving your electronic files from an email attachment.
· Inserting the text into Dreamweaver program and making any font changes to match page.
· Uploading the new page to the service provider's server.
· Doublechecking the page online.

Image Updates: While the basic process for Image Updates is about the same as described above for a Light Text Update , a digital image takes more preparation than text. The steps include re-sizing the photo's dimensions (this may involve two sizes--a thumbnail size and a larger size that appears when the thumbnail is clicked), cropping, adjusting for contrast, and then saving in a optimum resolution for web use. Other image enhancements can take more time (e.g., color and background work). Adding new images to a page where none have been used or different sizes are required may require some page rearrangement.

Heavy Updates:(such as expanding the site, redesigning the entire look, or using Photoshop™ to develop original graphics, such as banners) may be either invoiced at an hourly rate or may be negotiated as a new total fee.
